It's De-Lovely!
I hope that this purple is relatively easy to see. I have way too much fun with this stuff!
So anyway, I've been thinking a lot about my job and I can't decide when to/how to quit. My managers are always being lofty and evil, the customers are jerks, and I can't stand it any longer. I'm going to go to the park district and see if I can teach a drama class in the fall. I usually volunteer to direct a play during the summer with the children's theater, but for some reason they cancelled it this year. I miss my kids so much! I've been working with most of them for four years now, which is saying a lot because I've seen a lot of them grow from 2nd or 3rd grade. And I know that many of them would love to do a show or some improv with me. We'll see, though.
I went and saw De-Lovely the other day, and I loved it so much. If you guys don't know any of Cole Porter's music, you should probably just go jump off of a bridge or something. Seriously. I knew pretty much every song in the movie, and cannot wait to get the soundtrack. Kevin Kline did a wonderful job. The story may not have been traditional by any means, but Linda's love for Cole was absolutely amazing. Through everyone and everything that he did (haha--no, but seriously) she just would not give up on him or them. I cried so hard.
And yesterday was a good day, with Jess' and sectionals and all. I had a very nice conversation with Dan George. I love that kid so much. I'm going to miss him a lot in college, and I know there are wonderful things in store for him. It's hard to believe how long we've known each other know.
